In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made
by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. John 1:1-3
The Bible is said to be the word of God, it contains the wisdom that is God. If we believe in this wisdom and keep this knowledge in our heart, we will have known God and attained Him. We will then be free from death and live forever, as declared by Jesus Christ:
That whatsoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:15
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth in Me hath everlasting life.John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keeps My saying, he shall never see death.John 8:51
We have to understand that God is neither any form nor any name, neither male nor female, but God is a word, that is, knowledge and wisdom. Unless we believe the words of God spoken by His messengers, there is no way to know God or to attain the supreme knowledge and wisdom that is the creator and sustainer of the universe.
Lord Krishna also presented the knowledge of God in the Bhagavad Gita:
That is light even of lights, said to be beyond darkness. Knowledge which is to be known, the goal of
wisdom, seated in the hearts of all. Chapter 13:18
At last after many births, one who has attained knowledge reaches Me (God), realising that all is supreme reality. Such a great soul is very difficult to find. Chapter 7:19
He who keeps the same intellect towards the good-hearted, friends, foes, the holy and also sinners, he excels. Chapter 6:9
These verses reveal that God is knowledge that can be attained by wisdom. Verse 7:19 says that a person who has attained the
knowledge that all is supreme reality and all beings are forms of the same God reaches the Supreme God. The perception of sameness towards all with this realisation
that all beings are forms of the same God is the wisdom that is God. Verse 6:9
clearly says that a person who keeps the same intellect towards the
good-hearted, friends, foes, holy and sinners, he excels.
All the questions, such as, does God exist or who is God or whether God is male or female, arise due to a lack of understanding of the scriptures that contain the knowledge of God. If one carefully goes through the scriptures and believes them to be true, one will get all the answers. We will then attain the knowledge and wisdom that is God.
