The First Truth

You are God
Since the beginning of time, everyone has been obsessed with a single question: Who am I? Yet man’s eternal quest to know the self remains unfulfilled. Various sages have answered this question in their own way. But the truth is that man has not been able to know or understand himself.

You are God is the first book that unravels this mystery and reveals that man is God.

After creating the universe, God created bodies to live in and enjoy His creation. The same God that pervades the entire existence also lives in all bodies. In the body, His sense of ego or ‘I-ness’ deludes Him and He fails to know Himself. In each body God looks at Himself as ‘I’ or man/ woman and does not realize that He is God. He searches outside for ‘who I am’ and ‘who is God’ when the answer is that Man, himself, is God

In Verses 2:17-18 of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna reveals that man is God. He says that the all-pervading indestructible God embodies all bodies. In Verse 7:4-5, He said that earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect and the ego is the eight-fold nature of God. He called this the lower nature of God due to the presence of the ego, which deludes if the same self of God is dwelling in all the human bodies, then all of you are God and does not let Him realize that all the beings are His form or all are God. In Verse 9:11, Lord Krishna said that the ignorant do not know God who is dwelling in the human form in the human body. In Verses 13:2-3, He revealed that all bodies are fields of God and this is God who is living in these fields. You Are God reveals the true sense of these words of Lord Krishna and shows that man is God. The following verses clearly reveal this truth:

A fragment of Myself having become an eternal living being in the world, draws to Himself the six – the senses and the mind – that abide in nature. Chapter 15:7

When Ishwar [God] acquires a body and also when He leaves it, He takes these [the senses and the mind] and goes as the wind carries the scents from their seat. Chapter 15:8

Presiding over the ears, the eyes, the organ of touch [skin], of taste [tongue], of smell [nose] and also the mind, this [God] enjoys the objects of the senses. Chapter 15:9

It will thus be seen that it is God who lives in all bodies and enjoys the objects created by Him. It is only due to the ego and the lack of self-knowledge that the embodied being looks at him as ‘I’ or man/woman and fails to realize that he is God. You Are God contains the complete knowledge and wisdom that will enable a person to realize that he/ she is God and derive all the benefits of self-realisation. On realization that he is God, a person will be freed from stress, diseases and ageing and attain eternal peace, happiness and youthfulness. He will attain immortality and live forever. You Are God reveals the self-realisation of being God without making any change in life-style and actions. He/ she will continue to live and enjoy all the objects as usual and realize that he/ she is God by the knowledge and wisdom contained in the book. It is different from realizing that, ‘I am God’. The true self-realisation means realizing that there is no ‘I’, ‘You’, ‘he’, ‘she’, ‘they’ but all the beings are form of God or man is God.
